2021 The 4th International Summit on Electricity Market
The “Dual Carbon” target means the promise made by President Jinping Xi that China will achieve the carbon emission peak in 2030 and realize carbon neutrality in 2060. To achieve the target, the following instructions from President Jinping Xi require that the reform of the power system needs to be strengthened and a new power system with renewable energy as the mainstay need to be established as soon as possible. Since the electricity spot market construction began in 2015, with the guidance from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the National Energy Authority (NEA), the spot markets in the pilot provinces have formed a suitable spot market model for China's national circumstances and achieved positive results and valuable experience after carried on several rounds of settlement trial operations. At this moment, there is an urgent need to hold a summit about the spot market with the purpose of publicizing the achievements, analyzing the key issues, and discussing new trends in market construction.
The “International Summit on Electricity Market” has been successfully held three times before. Due to it positive and wide influence in the domestic and international area, the Summit award more and more attention and support from the government authorities, such as NDRC and NEA.
In order to enhance the communication within the market participants and establish an open, fair, and justify market environment, the 4th International Summit on Electricity Market will be mainly organized by State Grid Power Dispatching Center, Beijing NengApp Technology Co., Ltd, and China Electric Power Research Institute et.al. The main topics discussed in the 4th Summit include under the context of “Dual Carbon” target, the energy spot market construction issue, renewable energy consumption issues, and so on.
